Influencing & Collaboration

This Influencing & Collaboration program is designed to help you effectively influence and persuade people who you have no authority over. The success of our day to day roles frequently relies on being able to influence a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally.   Effective influencing requires us to set aside our own assumptions and fully explore our stakeholder’s needs and influences. We can then present our recommendations in a way that meets their needs and is mindful of the context in which they make decisions.

The core themes covered in this program include:

  1. Developing your influencing strategy
  2. Management of  Stakeholder Relationships
  3. Planning and executing stakeholder interactions
  4. Maintaining  momentum

This program will enable you to directly apply a range of influencing and persuasion tools and techniques to your own initiatives and your day to day stakeholder interactions. This shared learning experience will help to support the transfer of learning from the intellectual into your day to day roles.  As a result of this program you will have:

  • Enhanced your ability to  question and listen to explore and understand stakeholders needs
  • Tools to plan effective influencing strategies to support the success of current and future initiatives
  • Increased awareness of their your influencing style and how it impacts on your effectiveness
  • Increased flexibility when working with different stakeholders to help develop trust based credible relationships
  • Tools to deal with difficult behaviours
  • and conflicting views as they arise to help keep  projects on track
  • Techniques to summarize agreements to reinforce and  increase commitment to actions
  • Applied the tools and techniques to a real influencing situation

Typically this is offered as a two day. It is highly interactive so numbers are limited to a  maximum of 8 people to ensure everyone is able to benefit from group discussions, paired exercises and individual application.
