Hi, I'm Sue!
As a business coach and expert in leadership development, I collaborate with visionary leaders who are eager to break through current barriers and embrace new opportunities.
I am dedicated to developing individuals and teams, helping them transition from expert contributors to leaders of leaders. I tackle challenges such as team formation, performance alignment, culture change, and stakeholder collaboration, enabling leaders to navigate complex environments and drive organisational success.

I expertly encourage individuals and teams to expand their perspectives, stretch their capabilities, and build confidence in delivering results. My approach integrates scientific methodology, hypothesis testing, and reflective learning to foster creative leadership. I help clients recognise how their strengths can also be limitations and support their growth toward becoming effective, impactful leaders.

With over 35 years of diverse experience in winemaking, sales management, global consultancy, and independent coaching, I founded Leadership Plus in 2008. My work spans the public and private sectors, where I collaborate with leaders to design and execute development strategies rooted in research and practicality.

I have successfully guided leaders through critical transitions, helping them build the capability to thrive in today’s environment and create future opportunities. My work with high-performing teams has enabled organizations to create real value for their stakeholders, aligning team efforts with broader organizational goals.

Outside of work, I am an active board member and sailing crew member, finding relaxation on and by the ocean or while tending to my very weed-infested garden. I enjoy spending time with my husband, dog, cat, and two adult children.
"I have always been fascinated with learning, and what makes us tick. My personal leadership journey started as student, interested in science, and bringing culture to Massey Campus. I bring the scientific methodology of hypothesis, experiment design and reflective learning into my practice"
